Spirit of Lanarkshire is a renewable energy co-operative.
Spirit of Lanarkshire raised £2.7 million in 2013 and 2014 to purchase a stake in two wind farms in South Lanarkshire; Nutberry near Coalburn and West Browncastle near Strathaven. Both sites were developed by Falck Renewables Wind Ltd. The Co-op has 607 members.
The Co-op was formed as a result of a deal between Energy4All and Falck Renewables, who wanted to offer a stake in their Scottish projects to local people.
