Would you like to join the SOL Board of Directors
The Spirit of Lanarkshire Wind Energy Co-operative will be looking for two new directors at its AGM in July. Two of the directors who have been on the board since the beginning of the project have decided to stand down and we hope two of our members will come forward and take their places.
While all members are entitled to stand for election, the board is particularly keen to receive nominations from members who live in the southern part of South Lanarkshire where both wind farms are located. The wind farms are at Nutberry near Coalburn and West Browncastle which is a few miles beyond Strathaven towards East Ayrshire.
The board would also welcome anyone who had any knowledge or experience of dealing with renewable energy. Similarly, the board is planning to become more involved in community benefit and would welcome anyone who has a background in community projects and their funding.
